An advantage over calling potential customers is that calling at an inconvenient time can mean a lost opportunity. If you email at an inconvenient time, the recipient can read it when it suits them. Below is some email marketing advice with some tips on running a successful campaign.
Research Your Readers
To need to know who you are sending your emails too. You dont want to just send then to as many people as possible hoping that you will somehow capture some business. This will be a waste of time, and if you are paying for email marketing services, money. You need to decide upon a target audience to make sure you are sending them to those likely to be interested in what you are offering.
Clarity is very important in an email marketing campaign. Like any type of advertising, you have to make sure it is made clear who you are, what you do, and how your products or services can be beneficial. While being important that you get your message across, you shouldnt overcomplicate things.
Your Email Must Stand Out
With email marketing first impressions are everything. It is easier for someone to delete your email (and therefore never read it again) than read it. You need to hook them in and not ramble on about unrelated matters before getting to the point further down the page. You need to interest them early and be unique. You should be as brief as possible and concise.
People Dont Trust Emails
Most people receive a lot of spam emails and when receiving something they are not expecting may be inclined to delete it immediately. Make sure your emails arent mistaken for spam. Use a descriptive title to give readers an accurate idea of what the email could be, without seeming spammy.
It might be a good idea to offer your readers something for free with your first email to them. This could simply be some useful or informative information (without giving away your secrets). This will make them more likely to read future emails. Not trying to sell anything with your first correspondence is a good way to built trust.
Where possible treat readers as individuals so they dont feel as though they are just one person on a long list. Use their name if you can and aim to meet their individual needs.

Many companies try to find the most innovative ideas to get their products out to the masses. Pepsi is one such company that achieved this task. This was done with them getting the most popular fashion designer in Japan, Nigo, to design a set of limited edition Pepsi’s. The combination of the two could only lead to great things, from a marketing perspective. You were bound to have sales, better customer awareness and popularity for both products.
Nigo is a famous and well sought after fashion designer from Japan. He is the creator of the popular Bathing Ape clothing line. Nigo’s creation of limited edition clothes was a reason for his brands popularity. It was a brilliant marketing idea for Pepsi to team up with Nigo as it allowed for an inspiring marketing campaign. With Nigo creating a set of limited edition Pepsi cans, it could only result in success for the two entities. The success Pepsi and Bathing Apes could only help them in this brilling marketing plan. On one end Pepsi would be seen as cool and trendy. On the other hand BAPE would be exposed to a whole new audience due to the reach of the Pepsi product. By Pepsi using the style that Nigo has used with his BAPE clothing line, it could have the same success. An increase demand for an elusive product. The issuing of limited edition Pepsi will create demand and if the supply is right, the profits could be very healthy for Pepsi.
Another big benefit to be obtained through Pepsi and Bathing Apes was the increase in sales. The brilliant marketing idea of Pepsi cans designed by Nigo would affect sales positively in the short run. This also had an effect on Bathing Ape / BAPE sales too, as people who didn’t know about Bathing Apes before, were now exposed. This was a win win situation as a company’s main goal is to make a profit. This also helps them in the long run; sale wise as people could become attached to a brand, just because of the cross marketing. So Pepsi could receive customers who only drink their product because it was once associated with designer Nigo. The same could held for Bathing Apes as they receive customers who discovered their product through the limited edition Pepsi. Bathing Ape and Pepsi together was the perfect marketing choice for both companies. It allowed a multi-national corporation to push their product with an exclusive and high demand brand. The two would benefit from exposure to each demographic market that they controlled. The Pepsi and BAPE combination was the perfect match especially for a culture that embrace the street design and soda pop. BAPE and Pepsi was a perfect decision, one which both companies would not regret. Pepsi and Bathing Ape would benefit tremendously from this marketing plan. The increase in demand would result in an increase in sales, making both companies very happy.
How important is online marketing for businesses that conduct most of their transactions offline?
Lindsey Miller, Director of Creative Studios at Miles Technologies, shares insight into the importance of online marketing for all industries even those that operate primarily in the traditional marketplace. “With the overwhelming majority of today’s consumers using search engines to research products and services before they buy, simply having a physical storefront is no longer sufficient for attracting customers and making sales,” Miller reports. “Regardless of whether your business is conducted on or offline, you must have a website that is highly visible in internet searches in order to attract potential customers in your service area.”
Miller stresses that failure to engage in online marketing can have devastating results on an organization’ success. “If you are waiting to take your marketing efforts online just because most of your business is conducted offline, then you risk missing out on an alarming amount of potential customers in your service area.”
According to Miller, the following traditionally offline industries can benefit greatly from a well-designed website and a strong virtual presence:
10. Automotive Repair/Car Dealerships
7. Hotels/Travel/Food Services
6. Legal Services
3. Plumbing/Home Repair
2. Real Estate/Rental
Miller emphasizes that the need for online marketing is not limited to the industries listed above. “Online marketing is quickly becoming critical to survival in today’s economy. Every business, regardless of industry, should be working to gain a competitive edge in the virtual marketplace.”

Make it clear who you are: When a prospective customer visits your site, he finds you reliable if you have clearly indicated who exactly you are, what kind of services you offer, what are your rates and how you provide your services. Upload a video or picture of yourself and indicate some details about your experience and background. After all, people want to ensure that you are a reliable person, before they can allow you to enter into their home.
Call to action: Once you have provided enough information on your website, call your customers to take a necessary action. One common sentence can be Call now to receive your free plumbing quotes.
Hiring a copywriter: Even if you are a two or three person business, you should not try to write your own website content. After all, no matter how good your language is, you may not be professional enough in your tone. Hiring a professional copywriter to write your plumbing advertising content can make a big difference in your business. An experienced copywriter can persuade people to read your HVAC advertising ideas, and convince them to contact you and ask you for your service.
Promote your brand: Plumbers need to travel around a lot, and it makes sense to have your company name and logo imprinted on your vehicle and work clothes. This increases your brand exposure and indicates your professionalism.
Give free advice to your readers: Most people out there have no idea even about the basics of plumbing. So, you can offer some useful tips and advice to people who visit your site for some valuable information. This portrays you as an expert in your field and thus, helps out in your plumber marketing campaign.
Apart from all these HVAC advertising ideas, you can also employ social media marketing and web analytics program on your site. These plumbing advertising techniques increase your brand awareness among your prospective clients, and establish you as a reliable plumbing service provider in your locality.

Like me, have you received email invitations like these?
> I’m using LinkedIn to keep up with my professional contacts and help them with introductions. Since you are one of the people I recommend, I wanted to invite you to access my network on LinkedIn.
> Basic membership is free, and it takes less than a minute to sign up and join my network.
I’ve received well over 35 invitations like this, worded almost precisely the same way. The senders have acted surprised and offended that I did not leap to take advantage of this invitation.
Let’s look at the problems in this invitation from a marketing point of view.
* Almost all of the invitations I received were from people whose names I did not recognize. Why would I want to be part of their network? The invitation doesn’t say who they are, who they have access to and how I would benefit from their network.
* What is Linked In, how does it work and what are the benefits of using it? No one has yet explained this clearly in their invitation. You cannot expect that someone receiving this invitation understands what you’re asking them to join or how it would be advantageous to them. It would be helpful to have a paragraph or two describing how it works and citing a specific result the person behind the invitation enjoyed from membership. It may be that people assume that since “basic membership is free,” the typical recipient of this invitation will go ahead and join. But even if it doesn’t cost money, joining would take time. You still need to “sell” people on taking a free action, especially with respect to an activity or organization that may be unfamiliar to them.
* No one took the time to head off possible misunderstandings or objections to this membership. As a non-member of Linked In, I am concerned that joining would open me up to a lot of email and phone calls in which I would have no interest and that would waste my time. Again, you can’t assume that something free is thereby enticing; you need to imagine why someone might have doubts or dismiss the idea and address those objections.
* Using a canned invitation that is almost exactly the same as everyone else’s doesn’t make a good impression. Even if the text provided by Linked In were effective, which it’s not, you’d want to give it your personal stamp.
Other than being irritated that they are apparently encouraging people to send invitations that make little sense, I have nothing against Linked In. Perhaps it’s a useful organization. My point is that its members need to use common sense and fundamental marketing principles to encourage busy, skeptical people to give it a chance.
